Senior Translator/Reviser Financial Regulatory

We are seeking candidates with extensive experience in financial regulatory translation to serve our extensive portfolio of financial clients. As a Senior Translator/Reviser on the financial regulatory team, you will translate texts of varying complexity from the financial regulatory sector. You may also be asked to check the quality of texts translated by colleagues or external collaborators. Your Daily Routine Produce turnkey, high-visibility translations in accordance with TRSB standards and client terminology and style preferences Perform the basic terminology research required for such translations Revise translations produced in-house or by freelancers in accordance with TRSB standards and client terminology and style preferences Provide translators being revised with direction and feedback This Position May Be Ideal For You If You Have at least eight to ten years of experience in translation, including five years in the financial regulatory field (experience working in a translation firm or in a corporate translation department a major asset) Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in translation or in a related field (membership in a recognized professional association such as OTTIAQ or ATIO an asset) Are fluent in French and English, both spoken and written Have a strong interest in the field of financial regulation and a good working knowledge of financial and regulatory documents Are naturally curious and interested in ongoing personal improvement Care about delivering quality work Are detail-oriented and meticulous Are proficient in translation tools such as Trados, LogiTerm, and MultiTerm Can handle tight deadlines Are willing to work overtime during busy periods We value our teams and offer working conditions to match: Competitive salary Comprehensive group insurance Group RRSP Flexible work arrangements Fitness benefit Payment of dues to your professional order Referral program Public transit credit Paid vacation on your birthday Show more Show less
