Job description

Dayforce is a global human capital management (HCM) company headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, and Minneapolis, Minnesota, with operations across North America, Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA), and the Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) region. Our award-winning Cloud HCM platform offers a unified solution database and continuous calculation engine, driving efficiency, productivity and compliance for the global workforce. Our brand promise - Makes Work Life Better™ - Reflects our commitment to employees, customers, partners and communities globally. About The Opportunity As part of a cross-functional, service-oriented team, you will play a key role in advancing and scaling Dayforce’s centralized Linguistic Services model. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Linguistic Strategy and Services, you will partner with internal stakeholders, linguists, vendors, and freelancers to deliver high-quality multilingual and regionally relevant content for Dayforce’s global audiences. This role combines linguistic expertise, project ownership, and technology-driven innovation. You will use Translation Management Systems (TMS), large language models (LLMs), AI-powered solutions, and automation to improve how linguistic services are delivered—identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance quality, efficiency, and scalability. The successful candidate is a collaborative, highly motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, global, and sometimes ambiguous environment. You bring strong project management and communication skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and curiosity about emerging technologies and new ways of working. What You'll Get To Do Serve as a key point of contact for Linguistic Services, partnering cross-functionally with business stakeholders to understand requirements, advocate for a global-first approach, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery of multilingual and regionally adapted content. Take end-to-end ownership of linguistic projects and workflows, from intake and requirements gathering through execution, quality assurance, delivery, and stakeholder follow-up, proactively managing priorities, dependencies, timelines, and risks. Apply TMS capabilities, AI, LLMs, and automation to improve linguistic workflows, reduce repetitive work, and increase quality, efficiency, and scalability. Lead the adaptation of U.S. English content for other English-speaking markets, ensuring terminology, messaging, cultural context, and regional requirements are appropriately reflected. Partner with Product, Product Marketing, and other stakeholders to adapt product messaging and content for regional markets, including regulatory and compliance considerations that may affect product features, benefits, terminology, or positioning. Manage and optimize linguistic assets, including translation memories, terminology databases, regional style guides, reference materials, and visual context, ensuring they remain accurate, relevant, and effective for evolving human- and AI-enabled workflows. Manage relationships with agencies, freelance linguists, interpreters, and LQA providers, including sourcing and onboarding partners and providing ongoing guidance and feedback to support consistently high-quality output. Coordinate interpretation services for Global All Hands and regional meetings, overseeing language requirements, vendor coordination, scheduling, and logistics to help remove language barriers and support an inclusive employee experience. Stay current with developments in LLMs, generative AI, AI-powered content adaptation, TMS technology, and the broader localization industry. Skills And Experience We Value Bachelor’s degree in Localization, Linguistics, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in localization, linguistic services, global content operations, project management, or a related field, preferably within a global or technology-focused organization. Strong understanding of localization, regional content adaptation, terminology management, and linguistic quality, including cultural and regional considerations across global markets. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use qualitative and quantitative insights to evaluate workflows, identify opportunities, and measure improvements. Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and work effectively both independently and as part of a globally distributed, multilingual team. What Would Make You Stand Out Hands-on experience with Translation Management Systems (TMS), preferably Smartling or a comparable AI-enabled platform. Practical experience with generative AI and LLM-based tools, or demonstrated interest and aptitude in applying emerging technologies to linguistic and content workflows. Experience with project and workflow management tools such as Asana, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar platforms. What’s In It For You Dayforce is fueled by the diversity of our talented employees.
